As I write this, Nancy has just crossed over Nova Scotia and is heading toward Massachusetts and home. She did great being over here for 30 days which is twice as long as she wanted to be away from home. I think the kids coming over helped and, of course, she loved her spy chair.
I’m staying in a dorm room at Beit Hall, part of the Imperial College of London. Summer stays here seem to be popular with senior citizens. I’m pretty sure I lowered the average age of the guests when I checked in.

Ever since I started doing this blog, Nancy has been bugging me everyday to put pictures of myself in. But I take all the pictures, and I hate selfies. The ones I did take, she never liked. I suspect that’s because I was in them. While I was out walking today I decided that since she was on a plane home, I’d give her a surprise when she checked the blog. Here it is.

I took a long walk down to the Chelsea Embankment and back. This is a snack bar set up right in the middle of a busy street.

This is a pub that has closed. Just like the Falcon and just like the Squirrel both in Queens Park, and just like many other pubs I’ve seen. It seems like a large percentage of the surviving pubs have the words “Greene King” above the their sign. Here’s why:
Founded in 1799 Greene King is now the country’s leading pub retailer and brewer, welcoming customers to over 2,900 pubs, restaurants and hotels and brewing quality beers such as Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen.

Beit Hall is in a fantastic location, just across the street from the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert Memorial. Apparently Albert dies, although when we last saw him in series 2 of “Victoria” he was alive and kicking.

Since Nancy is no longer here to proofread, there should be loots of erroors in my tiping for you to finde.
